Bamboo Rafting - A unique rowing experience
A unique rowing experience cruising on the century old locally designed
bamboo rafts through the vast reservoirs of Parambikulam Tiger Reserve.
During the rafting one can witness the magnificent gift of nature. Also
one will have an opportunity to unearth the history of Parambikulam
Dam. This package is available for the day visitors as well as
the visitors halting in different packages who like cruising in the dam
with bamboo raft. During rafting one cannot miss the
opportunity of sighting elephants, Guars, Sambar, Spotted Deer,
Hornbill, Nilgiri Langoor, Wild dogs, Leopard, Crocodile and perhaps the
king of jungle – The Royal Tiger may join this elite list also.

Bamboo rafting is available in both Parambikulam and Peruvaripallam dam managed by the Kadas and Sungam EDC boatmans.

The tickets may be obtained either from Information centre, Anappady and Parambikulam.

Maximum 5 visitors are permitted/ trip with 4 boatmans. Wearing of life Jackets are mandatory for the person taking raft ride.
